The measure would also prohibit university faculty from striking during contract negotiations. Senate Minority Leader Democrat Nickie Antonio of Cleveland questioned if students would be able to adequately discuss Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous writing if subjects like race and system racism could be labeled “controversial topics.”
